Health Safety and Environment Coordinator (HSE)


The Health Safety and Environment Coordinator (HSE) is a key member of plant staff responsible for driving continuous improvement in plant HSE programs. The role of HSE Coordinator is to ensure compliance according to federal and local legislation and guarantee the respect and enforcement of the Group's HSE policy. The ideal candidate will have experience in a high volume manufacturing facility.

Objectives

Assist with HSE regulatory compliance programs, including program development, training, documentation, and auditing
Develop plant contingency and emergency action plans with site management ensuring appropriate preparation activities are completed
Manage the facility workman's compensation claims
Proactively identify opportunities to improve shop floor by eliminating work station ergonomic issues
Collect and submit appropriate samples to Mississippi Department of Environmental Quality (MDEQ), acting as company liaison with the agency ensuring plant outputs are in line with state regulations and company stewardship initiative
Assist in health and industrial hygiene compliance activities
Generate operator ownership through various Health, Safety, and Environmental teams and programs
Coach and train site supervisors on accident investigation procedure, and utilize Faurecia root cause analysis techniques to eliminate repeat issues
Qualifications
Bachelor of Science degree in Industrial and/or Systems Engineering
Proven ability to manage safety programs in industrial environment
Proficient in MS Office Suite


Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
